OMG, They all flop!

I've been working for almost three years now in Customer Service and ever since I was in this kind of industry, my perception about how customers should be treated has changed. Everyday, whether we like it or not, we always encounter different approaches on how a business handles their customers. Courtesy, politeness, promptness of service and product knowledge are always the things that we are all looking for. Unfortunately, you don't always find it. I'm very keen about how sales person, security guards, and other store crew treat me as a customer. In a few seconds I can always spot a good customer service from the bad ones. Well, I'm not sure if you all feel the same way, but here are some of the stores that I would consider bad to worst customer service:

Globe Service Centers: It Flops!
Just went to one of the service centers today, and I was not a happy customer when I got out. I didn't get the answers that I needed and the lady that was handling my concern seemed clueless about my questions. Every time I ask a question, she would quickly go away because she didn't know the answer and needed to ask someone.

Alabang Medical Center: It Flops!
Going there was a nightmare. I was brought to the ER because my fever skyrocketed to 41 degrees Celsius. At first, the nurses seemed fine. They tended me and interviewed me to see what was wrong with me and it was ok. What brought me to my boiling point was that after I peed and gave them my urine sample, the nurse asked me to bring the sample to the lab! Isn't that horrible? I can barely walk and she asked me to go the fourth floor and bring the sample myself? I'm like WTF?

PLDT Customer Service: It Flops!
Generally, I can say that their product or services are alright. But how they handle customers over the phone is quite frustrating. They don't give time frames of when your concern will be resolved. They refuse to transfer you to managers and give you lame excuses. They make promises that they don't do like they're going to call you back. It's a good thing I don't have a problem with them right now.

CDR King:
It Flops!
I've almost not included them on the list. Its been so long since I've been there. I'm thankful that I don't need something at their store recently. First of all, they make you wait for so long before you can buy something or even ask something. You need to fall in line first and if you ever deviate from this, one of the sales ladies there would look at you from head to toe and sarcastically remind you that there is a line. And the reason why the line is so long its because they have to do everything manually. It's very ironic that they have all the electronic gadget at the store and they can't buy a freaking cash register.

Well, I can't think of other stores that I've had bad experience with as a customer. I apologize for my rantings about this stores. It's just that I really value customer service and my heart is happy if I'm treated politely. It brings a plus factor to the business. Sometimes its the only thing that separates one business from the other. I am not making these companies the antagonist. In fact, I love their products and services. I just wish they would put more effort in treating their customers no matter how big their company is.

Please feel free to comment any other bad experience (or even good) you had with other establishments.

It rocks! It flops!: An Introduction

Every time I watch a movie, eat at a new restaurant, or simply buy a product I haven't used before, I would always run a rating and a quick review in my head. Occasionally, I may say it out loud to somebody who may have eaten at the same restaurant or have watched the same movie. Well, to put it simply, I just love to review anything. I guess it has something to do with my obsession for other people's reviews and review sites offering to pay for your reviews.

Speaking of review sites, I have been writing reviews since last year at reviewstream.com and until now I still haven't reached their minimum payout, which is $50.00. I think I have written over 25 reviews already and my total earnings as of this time is not even half of the minimum. I have stopped writing reviews for them, since I think that it is not worth it. They pay $2.50 for each review, however, if the review you have written is not in demand, they will pay you the bulk rate, which would be $.50. So I was thinking, if all of my reviews are paid at bulk rate, I still need to write about 120 reviews to reach the minimum payout. So I say, forget about it!

So with my unfortunate event with reviewstream.com, I have decided to still continue writing reviews, not for other websites, but for myself. I don't care if nobody pays me for writing reviews in my own blog. I just want to get the word out to people who may find it useful. I have read a lot of other people's reviews, most especially if I am buying something online, and I really find their own experience and insights helpful in my own decision.

I hope that with this blog, I am able to provide details to anybody out there who's looking for honest and personal reviews. Keep in mind that my experience and my opinion may be entirely different from other people. The beauty of reviews online is that they are just out there to serve as guides and they never impose. In the end, it is still you who makes the final decision.

I will make sure to provide details but I may occasionally be ranting about how great a movie is or just simply complain about the worst service I receive. If ever that happens, please bear with me. If you have experienced the exact same reaction with mine, please feel free to rant in the comment box too. I completely love hearing opinions and comments from other people.

All in all, I am just excited to write reviews whether It rocks! or It flops!
